Bug Description

After implementing new population-based permissions for application and person records, Peter is unable to view older MBS records.

Additionally, this is an opportunity to deprecate and clean up older populations and permissions that no longer need to be running.

Troubleshooting/Research

Ran a query of MBS IE from Fall 2021 - Fall 2023 to determine what populations those record are currently in.

MBS IE w/Populations Query

Person Populations

  • Inquiry: MBS

  • Permission: MPH Person

  • Permission: TUSMGP Person

  • Permissions: MBS Person

Application Populations

  • PHPD

  • PHPD - Committee: MBS

  • PHPD - IE: MBS

  • PHPD - Committee: MBS (2)

The current permission populations in use are:

  • Permission: MBS Application

  • Permission: MBS Person

To be able to search and view person and application records in Slate, a user needs to have access to both of the above permissions (only app permission is needed to view in the Reader, but to use person lookup and view in the back-end requires the person permission). This means that these records need to be included in both permissions to be viewable.
