The LANDesk Production Core (TFTMVMLDSKCORE) was patched with LD90-SP3-CP_MAC-2012-0724.

This patch adds preliminary support for Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion).

Known Issues

  • Inventory
    • LDAP location information does not report correctly in 10.8 Mountain Lion
  • Operating System Deployment
    • LANDesk's netboot image builder tool does not properly create a 10.8 Mountain Lion NBI file
  • Remote Control
    • "Permission required" option in remote control does not work in 10.8 Mountain Lion
    • Cannot start chat on 10.8 Mountain Lion
    • File transfer from the core to a 10.8 Mountain Lion machine fails

The LANDesk Mac Agents were updated on the Public software$ share: \\titan\software$\Public\LANDesk Agents\90_SP3 (file:///\\titan\software$\Public\LANDesk%20Agents\90_SP3)

  • Tufts_90_SP3_MAC_NoPerm_3-27-2012.mpkg.zip
  • Tufts_90_SP3_MAC_Default_3-27-2012.mpkg.zip

As this point, nothing needs to be done for existing Windows, Mac Clients or LANDesk Management Consoles however you may use the above LANDesk agent for any computer running Mac OS X 10.8. 

One quick important item to note, this patch REMOVES support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Snow Leopard) or older.  If you need to install LANDesk on these machines use the agents located here: \\titan\software$\Public\LANDesk Agents\90_SP3\Old Mac Agents (OS X v10.5 Leopard or older)\
