About
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Tufts Technology Services are working to implement a Research Administration System (RAS) that enables researchers to create funding proposals, route them electronically for approval, and submit them directly to the funding agency. Once implemented, RAS will affect almost all faculty, researchers, staff, and departments across all three campuses. After a lengthy evaluation process to compare the available research administration products, Tufts has chosen Kuali Coeus as its new Research Administration System.
Benefits
RAS will provide a central repository for the entire grant proposal process from development to submission and reporting. Researchers can submit more proposals to multiple funding sources. Data are secure with advanced technology and more accurate with data validations. Furthermore, it has the ability to connect from systems of records such as HR, Finance, and Data Warehouse to reduce errors and redundancy.
