Issues
Overview
While provisioning is incredibly powerful, it also has more than its fair share of issues and quirks. This page attempts to provide a brief outline to many of these issues along with any known solutions or workarounds.
Issues
- After entering your credentials in WinPE, provisioning says "loading templates" and never presents a list of templates.
Cause: Either your AD account is locked, you've enterered the wrong AD password, or the inventory service is down
- The inject script action may fail with an error about the web service
Cause: The target drive letter in the path for the injected script isn't valid. Wipe all drive letters for the disk with diskpart or the built in partitioning before injecting the script.
- After entering your credentials and selecting a template, Landesk tries to load the template 40 times but fails. It will then ask you to select a template again.
Cause: This is usually the result of Landesk attempting to schedule a template on a computer that is not in your scope. Contact TTS (it@tufts.edu) to confirm that the Landesk scope PXE Objects is set on your account.
