Preparing for Landesk 9.6 SP2

What do IT groups need to do before migration:

  • Delete queries they do not need.
  • Delete distribution packages they do not need.

What will be migrated:

Queries
Distribution Packages
Provisioning Templates, and Public Variables
Column Set Configurations
Accounts and Permissions
Scripts
Scopes, but they will be revisited

What will not be migrated:

OSD Scripts - deprecated with 9.6

Scheduled tasks
Devices
Agents -   configuration settings are preserved and migrated to new agents. OS X 10.7 compatibility is lost, for basic functionality use legacy agent
Delivery Methods
Power Management Settings
Reports
SLM Data
