ePO Administrative Console
Overview
The ePO Console is a brand new web based console that provides access to manage many McAfee services, including McAfee Drive Encryption. It allows IT staff to view reports, look up information about a computer, manage encryption
accounts and policies, and more.
There are 2 ePO consoles available:
- https://encryption.it.tufts.edu:8443 - This is the primary (production) ePO server. It should be used in most cases
- https://encryption-test.it.tufts.edu:8443 - This is the testing ePO server. It is only used for testing and evaluating product upgrades.
IT staff can access the ePO console by visiting the above URLs and logging in with the following info:
Username: tufts\UTLN
Password: Tufts Password
Please be aware you must use tufts\ before your Tufts username or you will be unable to log in.
If you cannot log in with your Tufts username and password as described above, you will need to be added to the Encryption_FSPs security group in Active Directory.
Dashboards
Dashboards can provide an overview to a number of options. Users can create their own private dashboards to show the information they are interested in. There is also a public Drive Encryption Dashboard that can be selected to display useful information regarding MDE.
Policy Catalog
Policy Catalog is where IT staff can view both the default settings as well as the current policy for MDE. This is strictly for informational purposes. IT staff do not need to be familiar with this information.
System Tree
The System Tree is list of all computers in Active Directory at Tufts. You can search for the computer you are specifically looking for.
The system Tree can be used to apply tags and force a computer to update policies.
The McAfee System Tree syncs with Active Directory at the top of every hour (2 PM, 3PM, 4PM, etc). If a computer object is deleted from Active Directory, it will be removed from the McAfee System Tree.
Encryption Recovery
Encryption Recovery is used to reset encryption passwords and bypass pre-boot authentication
Information on the Tufts IT Knowledgebase is intended for IT Professionals at Tufts.
