Adding an encryption user

Overview

With McAfee Drive Encryption, all domain users who have logged into a computer are automatically given access to the machine once it is encrypted. Additionally, any users who have an EEPC account (the old encryption system) already have access to log into any encrypted computers.

To add a new user, simply add the user to the Encryption_Users security group in Active Directory Users and computers. If you do not have permission to do this or do not know how, please submit a ticket to it@tufts.edu using the following template:

Please note: Encryption_Users security group in Active Directory is synced to the encryption server once per hour on the hour. So any users added to the group will not function until the sync occurs and the users are synced to the endpoint

Thanks,
