Opening a Shared Mailbox
Confirm you have Access to the Mailbox
- Log into exchange.tufts.edu as yourself
- In the upper-righthand corner, select your name and then enter the email address or login name of the shared mailbox
- Click ok
The shared mailbox should load.  If It doesn't, contact it@tufts.edu to review the permissions on the account.
Opening a Shared Mailbox in Outlook 2010

- Once inside Outlook, go to the "File" Tab and select "Add Account"
- Enter in the name you to be displayed on emails from this account, as well as the email address for the account. Â
- Do NOT enter in a password
- Choose "Next"
- You will be prompted to log in, choose "Other Login" and then provide your own Tufts Username and Tufts Password. Â It is not recommended, but you can cache the password there if you like, just remember when you change your password in the future that it will need to be updated.
