VMCAS 24-25 Sex and Gender Updates walk through Beth thinking on getting current data into as-is SIS
Question from Sara for discussion – “you mentioned that the person data will be available in Denodo back to 2019 and the application data back to 2021. So for data in 2019 and 2020, would you just have a list of students without knowing what program they applied to?”
F/U from Slate/Denodo meeting & email from Sananda on timeline/plan:
- “On a separate note, I have been asked in meetings with schools when the enrollment dashboards that I work on will be ready with this year's data. It will be helpful if you can give me some timelines when the application and inquiry queries will be ready for me to work on the dashboards. This will help me to communicate the same to the schools. “

- Beth matched the VMCAS mapping (set up the person-scoped marker and identity field)
- Decline to state available for both gender identity and gender marker
- Coalese identity first and then marker for existing Sex field
