Use live queries from within Slate, rather than downloading Slate data, manipulating it and uploading it back into Slate
Why?
uploaded lists are not tied back to the Slate records, so there is very limited tracking and reporting available
the more touchpoints, the more chances for introducing errors
changes to the student record, such as opt-outs, will not be reflected in uploaded queries
Options to Encourage Adoption
training
restrict upload access outside of predefined formats, or to specific people
Create and use saved queries, rather than Quick Queries
Why?

consistency
accuracy
Options to Encourage Adoption
consistent use of Realms
implement and maintain query libraries
emphasize training for modifying queries
for most users, the goal should be to select from pre-built options and modify, rather than needing to build from scratch or save copies of existing queries
