Moving recommender letters between applications

Assigning the specific ‘recommendation letter’ material to a different application will only move the letter, not the form.

Recommendation materials display in chronological order of receipt in the Reader, so moving pieces individually can lead to mis-ordered pages.

As long as the standard delivered recommendation page is in play, the student can be directed to move the letter themselves:

Note that this setting can be changed mid-cycle to allow this behavior for a small window of time and then hidden again if the desired default behavior is not to allow previous letters & forms to be used

The basic process is very simple:

(1) Confirm setting at Application Editor> {round}>Recommendations>Widget form settings (Deprecated)

(2) Instruct the student to visit their Recommender page and look for the “Import Previous Recommender” dropdown:

As long as at least one recommendation remains unfulfilled, there will be a link at the bottom of the checklist on the student status page allowing the student to access the recommender page after submission.
