Layout

Above is a screenshot of the default Landesk console interface. The Landesk console is divided into 4 sections.

Section 1 is used to move between the various components of Landesk. Selecting something from section 1 opens up that component in section 4. As you can see in the screenshot, there are several components open, including distribution packages, scheduled tasks, column sets etc. You may see less options in Section 1 as different people have access to different components, depending on their needs.

Section 2 is called the network view. It controls what is displayed in Section 3. There are 3 options you will use here: Devices, Queries, and Configuration

Section 3 contains a list of devices based on what is selected in Section 2. There is a search box in the top left hand corner of this section which can be used to search for specific computers. This search only searches in columns shown. You can customize these columns in Column Set Configuration in Section 1. Right clicking on a device will display all tools, options and information available for that device. This includes Remote Control, inventory information, task history and other options.
