Overview

New employees will often need access to the LANDesk Management Console, but there are several steps that need to be followed.

Procedure

  • Follow your departmental procedure to ensure the new employee has an AD account. If they are coming from a system of record (ereg, HR, SIS) they should already have an AD account created.
  • Identify what role that new employee should have. Submit a request to UITSC@tufts.edu asking for a new LANDesk account to be created for your new employee as well that they be added to the necessary security groups for the role you identified.  Scopes also govern which devices a user can see within the console. If your employee needs a restricted scope, please be sure to mention this.
