General Info

The upgrade is currently scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th. It has been delayed for 1 week due to a few bugs identified during testing.

What does my IT department need to do before the upgrade?

How does my IT group need to do for the upgrade itself?

For the upgrade process itself, Support Systems will create a scheduled task to distribute the Landesk 9.5 SP1 agents to all computers that current have landesk installed. Any computers with the:

  • Tufts_90_SP2_MAC_Default_6-6-2011

IT groups which manage their own GPOs will be responsible for updating these GPOs to use the new agents on the day of the upgrade.

What does my IT department need to do after the upgrade?

After the upgrade, any IT department using Provisioning templates will need to review and update some of the actions. The actions that generally require updating are: Installing the Landesk agent, HII, and CTOS

Known Issues

EISS is currently investigating the following issues:

  • Cloud Services Appliance (aka Management Gateway)
  • vPro issues
  • In Landesk 9.5 SP1, WinPE does not automatically assign drive letters to partitions after imaging. In order for your provisioning templates to work properly, you need to add a partition action before the inject script step. The partition action should mount drive 0 partition 2 as the D drive.
If anyone comes across other issues, please submit them to support-systems@tufts.edu
