Security
- Access Control List
- Ensure the printer's Access Control List is set to only allow printing from as few machines as possible, usually the Pharos Print Server for that respective printer. Access Control Lists are set by IP. Please note: The subnet mask refers to the IP entered in the Access Control List. For example, to allow printing from a specific subnet enter 130.64.xxx.0 as the IP Address and use a mask of 255.255.255.0. To allow printing from a specific machine, enter 130.64.xxx.yyy as the IP and 255.255.255.255 as the mask.
- Turn off external physical ports such as USB or Parallel ports
Notes
- Printer configuration changes are made via HP's WebJetAdmin software.
