OfficeScan VDI Plug-In

Do the following:

  1. On the OfficeScan server, copy the Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\TCacheGen\TCacheGen.exe file to the following folder in the VM template:
    TrendMicro\OfficeScan Client
    TCacheGen.exe will not run through network share; it needs to be copied locally on the VM template. Make sure to copy the appropriate tool, depending on the VM template architecture (64- or 32-bit).
  2. Run TCacheGen.exe.
  3. Click Generate Pre-Scan Template. The tool will be deleted after generating the template. This will require you to download a copy of the TCacheGen.exe tool again.
    Note: When running TCacheGen_x64.exe on Windows Vista or 7, make sure to select the Run as administrator option.
  4. Click Remove GUID from Template and then click OK.
  5. Shut down the VM template.
  6. Deploy this VM template to be the VDI clients.
  7. Log in to the OfficeScan server management console.
  8. Go to Plug-in Manager > Trend Micro Virtual Desktop Support > Manage Program.
  9. Enter your VDI Activation Code.
  10. Select either VMWare vCenter Server or Citrix Xen Server, depending on your environment.
  11. Enter your VDI server information.
  12. Click Test Connection.
  13. Click OK > Save.
