About
The Codian (also known as the bridge or Multipoint Conferencing Unit (MCU)) bridges different endpoints allowing sites and sources to connect together in a single conference channel.
Technical support staff and administrators can use the Codian to access predefined bridges on the Tufts campus.
Logging into the Codian
To access the Codian, complete the following steps:
- Browse to http://10.250.150.207/login.html
- Enter with your login credentials. Note: Mark Thibodeau (TTS) provisions access accounts.
- Navigator – Infrastructure – MCU8510 –
- Click the Globe icon to Login --Accounts configured through Mark T.
Accessing a Bridge (Conference)
After logging in, complete the following steps:
- From the Main Screen, click Conferences.
- Locate the "Mark T. Test" conference. You may need to page over to locate it.
Connecting an Audio Call to a Videoconference Using the Bridge
- After opening the Conference from the Bridge, click the Configuration tab.
- Locate the Address and DTMF fields
- In the Address field, add the Audio Conference Number
- In the DTMF field, add the Host Code and its associated PIN
- Example: --,,6274553#,,7528#1,,,# (be sure to enter all of the commas and '#' signs)
Click Update Conference on the lower left of the screen.
