Instructions on how to map the P and Q drive shares on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and 10.5 Leopard. These
instructions also probably work in older versions, but is untested.

  1. Follow UIT's instructions

    <A href="http://uit.tufts.edu/?pid=528" http: target="_blank">http://uit.tufts.edu/?pid=528</A>

    to map the drive initially.
  2. Make sure that the share's icon is visible on the desktop (you may have to enable the view options
in Finder to see network shares on the desktop).
  3. Open System Preferences and select Accounts
  4. Once in the desired user's account settings, go to the Login Items tab. You will see a list of login
    programs with their icons.
  5. Drag the share from the desktop to this list (note: the share's icon located in a Finder window will
not work, it must come from the desktop)

*Test by logging off and back in. There is no way to suppress the share's window from popping up at
logon, even if hide is checked from the Login Items window.*
