Determining the Folder Name
DPInst is looking for a specific folder name when it's called to install drivers for your model. If it doesn't see this name it will not install anything. To determine what this name should be:
- On the model of computer you'd like to add, copy Detect_Manuf_Model.exe from \\titan\ldeskpackages$\drivers to the desktop.
- Open up a command prompt, navigate to the file's location and then execute the file
- The name listed next to model is what the folder should be called
- For Lenovos, the model will display as "XXXXXyyyyy Friendly Name" (eg "031942U ThinkPad Edge") Please only use the Friendly name for the folder name ("ThinkPad Edge")
