In order to follow this procedure, you must be a Landesk Group Admin

To restore the missing template, select all

Copy it from all public, rename it

keep local copies in "my templates". If you are not a Landesk Group Admin, speak to someone in your department who is or contact EI Support Systems at support-systems@tufts.edu

  1. Select the "All public templates" folder from the OSD section of the Landesk Console.
  2. Scroll to the name of the template you are trying to restore. There should be a copy of it with a timestamp appended to the name.
  3. Right click on the template you are trying to restore and select clone. This will make a copy of the template and also append another timestamp to the name.
  4. Right click on the newly created template, select cut, and paste the template into the proper folder you are trying to restore it to.
  5. Right click on this template and select properties. You can now remove the timestamps from the template name to restore the template to it's proper name.
Tip

You should keep copies of Public Templates in your "My Templates" folder to ensure you always have a copy you can restore to a public folder.
