Here is some information on what to expect during email migration.

During migration, email infrastructure will split your email so you continue to receive all new email in both Trumpeter and your new Exchange Account.

Before the mailbox move:

3:30pm: The Exchange migration team finalizes their list. Anyone on that list for the evening will be migrated for moving to Exchange on the morning of Monday to Thursday usually, with some clean-up migrations done on Fridays.

7:30-8:30pm: Meeting Maker will be inaccessible during migration evenings, which are Sunday through Thursday evening.

During your mailbox move:

8:30-12am: There is a potential during this window that your individual account will be moving. During this time:

  • Trumpeter user: you will be able to access your email fully as currently configured
  • Exchange user: your email client (OWA, Outlook, Entourage) will repeatedly ask you to provide an email password, and will not accept it until the move of your mailbox from 2003 to 2010 is complete.

Post mailbox move:

  • Your best bet is to access your email in OWA at exchange.tufts.edu
  • You can (Trumpeter users) continue to access email from your own methodology, but remember to CC yourself if you are continuing to use Trumpeter to make sure emails you send get copied to the exchange environment.
