Outlook 2010 does not use the .NK2, so the .NK2 file needs to be merged in order to keep previously stored e-mail addresses.
- The .NK2 file needs to be named after the profile name of the user. Go to Control Panel and Select the Mail icon. Click on the 'Show Profiles' button
- Note the Profile name. It's 'Outlook' in this case, although it could reflect the users UTLN.
- Note the directory of the .NK2 file. Here it is named Ex2k10-PRF.NK2
- Rename file to profile name of user in Outlook
- After .NK2 file name change, go to Start > Type 'run' and press enter and add the following command : 'outlook.exe\importnk2' and press enter.
All the e-mail address that were contained in the old Outlook 2007 autocomplete file are now merged into the Outlook 2010 user profile.
