Remote control clients without LANDesk agent installed

With the LANDesk Cloud Services Appliance, you can also remote control clients that do not have the LANDesk agent installed either on-campus or off-campus.

  1. Direct your clients to go http://landesk-gateway.uit.tufts.edu using their web browser.
    1. This will work on-campus or off-campus for all Windows-based clients
  2. Click Management Gateway Utilities
  3. Have the client click "Install now" for on demand remote client for Windows
    1. The Install now button should download a executable called "landesk-gateway.uit.tufts.edu.exe"
    2. Have them run this program
  4. The client should see the following window on their computer
  5. You can now use the LANDesk Management Console to connect remotely to their machine
    1. You will see their computer waiting in the on-demand list of computers that are available for remote control.
