Remote control clients without LANDesk agent installed
With the LANDesk Cloud Services Appliance, you can also remote control clients that do not have the LANDesk agent installed either on-campus or off-campus.
- Direct your clients to go http://landesk-gateway.uit.tufts.edu using their web browser.
- This will work on-campus or off-campus for all Windows-based clients
- Click Management Gateway Utilities
- Have the client click "Install now" for on demand remote client for Windows
- The Install now button should download a executable called "landesk-gateway.uit.tufts.edu.exe"
- Have them run this program
- The client should see the following window on their computer
- You can now use the LANDesk Management Console to connect remotely to their machine
- You will see their computer waiting in the on-demand list of computers that are available for remote control.
