Verify the latest LANDesk agent is installed and configured

Before the LANDesk Cloud Services Appliance (LANDesk Management Gateway) will work properly your clients must have the latest LANDesk agent installed so that automatic gateway switching will work properly.   All clients were updated on the network shares as of 6/19/2012 with the appropriate patches.  It is recommended that you either deploy the latest LANDesk agents to your clients either using a schedule agent deploy via the LANDesk console or using an AdvanceAgent group policy.

You can also download the latest LANDesk agents here: \\titan.tccs.tufts.edu\software$\Public\LANDesk Agents\90_SP3

You must also have the latest component patches LD90-SP3-CP_RC-2012-0605.zip and LD90-SP3-CP_BASE-2012-0605.zip installed on your remote LANDesk console in order to remote into machines using the LANDesk Cloud Services Appliance.

To check to see if your LANDesk client is configured properly you can launch BrokerConfig.exe on the client PC under C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient

Verify that "landesk-gateway.uit.tufts.edu" is configured under Management Gateway.

Clients that also have the latest LANDesk agent will report their Common Base Agent 8 version as 9.0.3.11

On the client PC with the latest LANDesk agent installed you should be able to switch the client back and forth from direct mode to gateway mode.  Clients will automatically switch to gatway mode when they're off campus or unable to communicate directly with the LANDesk Core Server.
