Using the Campus Community / Slate API Interface in SIS

1. Explain the difference between primary and preferred name, and how each updates.

   1. Primary name error means first name/last name didn’t match

   2. If there is no preferred name data in the Slate file, SIS will add first name value to preferred value

2. ADRV notification sent to registrar, don’t have to do anything?

3. Merging records in Slate – careful about Slate Ref ID changing

Data is sent based on the period in Slate being active (if it is inactive data is not sent).

This is different than current system which seems to be by admit term.
