Problem:
Using the server tftmexarray01 does not work when configuring mail for computer that is not on the Tufts domain.
Solution:
Using the fully qualified domain name tftmexarray01.tufts.ad.tufts.edu fixes the problem.
In general using the FQDN is a good practice to help avoid dependency, but also make sure the machine is local to the Tufts network, or is connected in through the VPN for a local address.
