Supported Protocols and Operating Systems
IMAP, ActiveSync, BES are all supported protocols based on a 2 to three revision support system. As a general rule of thumb the two most recent major revisions are supported per operating system, with the exception of at the point of a new release, there is a short period in which the newest OS is given best effort support until it can be vetted and adopted as the new supported OS.

Activesync
While all of these devices communicate over the ActiveSync protocol, some operating systems have weaker implementations of the protocol so the level of connection for synchronizing calendar, contacts, tasks and email will differ per operating system. Consult your local support desk for advise given your specific needs. In addition to this, it is important to consult your wireless service carrier to ensure you have the appropriate data plan for internet usage.
