Overview

Operating System Deployment (OSD) actually consists of 2 distinct parts: OSD scripts and provisioning templates.

  • OSD scripts are used to automate capturing or deploying images
  • Provisioning templates are used to run a series on actions on a target device. In most cases, provisioning templates are used to configure computers after they are imaged but provisioning templates can be used for a wide variety of tasks
