- Bioinformatics
Many current bioinformatics programs and suites, and genomic databases are located on the high performance computing research cluster. Additionally a Bioinformatics Server ( http://emboss.uit.tufts.edu ) offers access to EMBOSS/wEmboss, a sequence analysis package ( see About EMBOSS ). An account to access EMBOSS can be requested at http://research.uit.tufts.edu. http://sites.tufts.edu/biotools contains links to bioinformatics resources around the world

- XSEDE *
As a member of the XSEDE Campus Champions program, TTS helps Tufts researchers and educators gain access to XSEDE (Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment) high-performance services, resources, and accounts.
XSEDE is an advanced, powerful, and robust collection of integrated advanced digital resources and services, giving researchers access to large supercomputers and related services such as storage and science gateways. TTS RGTS (Research and Geospatial Technology Services) serves as a local source of knowledge and support through its membership in the XSEDE Campus Champions program, acting as a conduit for account access to XSEDE services, applications, and digital resources, which include some of the largest supercomputers in the world with an enormous number of cpu cores, gpu devices, storage, high memory systems and shared memory nodes.
