Launchpad
LaunchPad is a console window that provides users access to packages, executables, URLs and
process manager links that have been individually configured for a managed
device. LaunchPad provides one-click access to local, hosted, or just-in-time
applications- which are not installed until the icon is clicked by an end-user.
Software Deployment Portal
Software Deployment Portal Launchpad also displays all software distribution packages that
have been deployed using an optional or recommended policy based delivery
method. It provides a simple way for users to install software from a list of approved applications without having administrator privileges.
In order to add software to the LANDesk Portal Manager, create a schedule task for a distribution package, drag the computer or computers you wish to target, and set the delivery method to "Policy"-> "Always listed for installation", and start the task for All machines.
