- Installation of Office for Mac
- Installation was fairly straight-forward. The only complications were 1) the link to download office is buried in the settings menu, which is not obvious, and 2) to activate after installation, you must use utln@tufts.edu as your username, which AFAIK is not used anywhere else.
- FYI, when you install a new version of OSX, that counts as a second install on your licenses page. I upgraded to Mavericks and it listed it as two separate installs. I deactivated the older 10.8 install with no problems.
- How I did it:
- Settings Icon -> Office 365 Settings -> Software
- It detects I'm on OSX. Just click Install.
- Save DMG to disk. Mount and install is just like regular apps.
- Asks for a license key, an account which is already activated, or a trial period. Pick the 2nd option and enter your utln@tufts.edu and your ldap password.
- Everything works thereafter just like normal

- Licensing Mobile Apps (Android/iOS Store)
- iOS - Went to Settings/Software and clicked on mobile devices, then iOS, and had it send a text to my phone by entering my #. The text linked to a website linking to all the App Store apps. I downloaded the O365 Mobile office app.
- Login is utln@tufts.edu and password again.
- Connecting an iphone to your account does NOT add to the list of activated office computers on the O365 website. It appears you can add as many iOS devices as desired without taking up license spots.
- I canOWA app doesn't get the OWA app to work on iOS. When it tries to autodiscover the exchange server, it finds it, but it asks if you want to trust it, and the only options are "CLOSE" and "NO". Both restart the process. When putting in the settings manually, it just says, "The server cannot be contacted." I'm still working on figuring this outwork yet due to not having an email account.
