Servers
Our current OfficeScan environment is two revisions behind (Office 10.0 -> 10.5 - 10.6) The plan is to upgrade our current environment from OfficeScan 10.0 to running OfficeScan 10.6 SP1. New servers will be provisioned by UIT ESS group that will eventually replace the current three Server 2003 VMs that are running the
Old Environment
All old OfficeScan 10.0 environment. These servers will be newly built VMs and will not be an in-place upgrade. Clients will be gradually moved over to the new servers after pilot testing is completed.
Planned Improvements
With OfficeScan 10.6 comes a number of improvements, including Active Directory integration and granular role-based administrator for the OfficeScan web console. Within OfficeScan 10.6, the various IT support groups within Tufts University can be delegated rights to their own machines in the web console. This was no previously possible in older versions of OfficeScan.servers (TFTMVMTREND1, TFTMVMTREND2, TFTMVMTREND3) were officially decommissioned on 01/07/2013.
