Changing a DNS Name

To change a DNS name:

1.) Search for the DNS Name or navigate to it via the DNS tab.

2.) Next, at the top, click the DNS Name to bring up a menu, then click the Rename option. The Rename Resource Record screen will open.

3.) Enter the new name of the resource, click the check boxes next to the views you wish to change the name in, and click the Update Button.

If both an Internal and External DNS Record exist, you will normally want to change the name in both views. REMEMBER to update the DNS record for this host in both the *internal and external views!*
