{section} {column:width=63%} h2. Q: I'm already on Exchange, but I received an email about migration. Will anything change? Will I need to do anything? h2. A: For clients using PC's who are already on Exchange, the login script will automatically take care of any updates, and no additional computer support should be necessary. If clients left Outlook open overnight, they should exit and re-open. If clients are still using Office 2003, they should be strongly encouraged to upgrade to 2007 for greater functionality. The webmail address will change from [https://outlook.web.tufts.edu] to [https://exchange.tufts.edu], and the web interface will change with this migration. Mobile devices using ActiveSync (not BES) will need to be reconfigured with the exchange.tufts.edu information. *Mobile devices running iOS 4.0 must completely remove existing ActiveSync connections (to Exchange 2003) and then add the 2010 connection.* Mac users will need to either upgrade Entourage to EWS or migrate to Mac Mail. More information can be found [here|Methodology - Macintosh Migration].*Outlook* * Outlook MAPI client will repoint itself automatically ** If it was left open overnight it will request you close and re-open it ** Local contacts and folders will remain attached to existing outlook profiles, along with any personal customizations you have done since then. ** Users will exist in the same "GAL" as all Exchange 2003 users * Anyone using Outlook 2003 should upgrade to 2007 *OWA* * You will now use https://exchange.tufts.edu for all things OWA related ** outlook.web.tufts.edu will no longer be a website that will function with your exchange account *Mobile Devices* * Users with BES connections will not need to do anything, it will simply migrate and repoint. ** Users who watch their device during mailbox migration the evening before will see it flash and re-register on the 5.0 server, but this does not require user intervention and users can navigate to other screens during this process * Exchange ActiveSync users will need to change connection information from outlook.web.tufts.edu to exchange.tufts.edu ** *ActiveSync users with iOS 4 devices will need to completely remove and rebuild their connection* *Mac Users* * Mac users (10.5.x.+) who _were_ using entourage _must_ upgrade to Entourage EWS ** A migration guide is [here|https://wikis.uit.tufts.edu/confluence/x/Y6EvAg] * 10.6.x Macintosh users may use MAC MAIL as a MAPI client ** A migration guide is [here|https://wikis.uit.tufts.edu/confluence/x/Y6EvAg] *Other* * If you have configured RPC over HTTPS:// you will need to reconfigure it for exchange.tufts.edu (previously it would have been outlook.web.tufts.edu) ** Turn SSL *OFF* when you configure it (it is SSL by default) * IMAP is enabled on the Exchange 2010 server ** Thunderbird or any other IMAP client is an option ** Find configuration guide here under "thunderbird to thunderbird" [here|https://wikis.uit.tufts.edu/confluence/x/Y6EvAg] * For any OTHER Exchange connection details, you can find the information on the home of the Exchange2010 Knowledgebase [here|https://wikis.uit.tufts.edu/confluence/display/exchange2010/Exchange] {column} {column:width=35%|border=1} {panel:title=Navigation|borderStyle=solid|borderColor=#514e85|titleBGColor=#336699|bgColor=#ffffff} {livesearch:spaceKey=exchange2010} [Exchange] {pagetree:root=Exchange|depth=3|sort=title} {panel} h3.
