What is needed to use this service?
An account on the Tufts Dynes server is required. Tufts faculty and research staff are eligible. You may send a request to cluster-support@tufts.edu. Access to the account is with ssh and scp based programs as it is on the cluster. The account will follow the Tufts UTLN name convention practice.
What is available on the Tufts Dynes server?
Dynes functionality only. Access via an account is only in support of dynes transfers. There is no user no permanent storage or backups associated with the account.

How much local storage is available for my data?
On the order of 1TB.
If I have a current Tufts Research Storage allocation of several TBs of data, can this be mounted to the Tufts Dynes server?
Yes, NFS mounts may be requested from the Tufts Research Storage infrastructure only. You may send a request to cluster-support@tufts.edu.
Will Windows CIFS exports be mounted?
No, not at this time.
